React Job: Software Developer

Gateway College is looking to hire one (1) full time Software Developer who will help us advance our goal of using technology to transform teaching and learning.

We need a software developer to work on a wide range of technologies including, but not limited to distributed systems, user interfaces, mobile and cloud computing. As a software developer, you will help make dreams a reality. The software developer has to have a passion for education and technology. Beyond the technology, the developer is expected to collaborate closely with our faculty. Your ideas and experience are essential to making sure we are building the right things.

Job duties:

• Research, summarize and prioritize business requirements.
• Design and implement UX prototypes with proper technology stack.
• Document all programming tasks and procedures.
• Perform routine software maintenance.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree or college diploma in computer science is required.
• 5 years or more of experience is required.
• Fluent in English.
• Hands-on experience with creating Windows/Android/iOS applications.
• Experience working with C/C++, TCP/IP networking and Linux system call.
• Solid knowledge of algorithm, object-oriented programming, unit and integration testing.
• Familiar with UX prototyping tools, such as Balsamiq Wireframes, Axure.
• Familiar with databases such as MySQL, SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of React.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD will be an asset.
